Loïc Malfait

Who are you and what do you do?

Hello!  I’m Loïc Malfait.

I’ve always been in love with food and been involved in food from a very young age, starting in my family’s restaurant.    I trained as a professional chef in France before making my way to England.

After several years working in London, I joined an internationally renowned culinary school where I taught French cuisine and patisserie to thousands of students, giving demonstrations all around the globe.

Seventeen years later, longing for the countryside and a return to my cooking roots, I embarked on a new culinary journey with the opening of Satiate Artisan, a cookery school nestled in beautiful Norfolk countryside.

At Satiate Artisan, we offer workshops designed to awaken your passion for cooking and baking.

We also offer a selection of tasting demonstrations, each providing a deep dive into the flavours and techniques that make the culinary world so fascinating.

What do you like about the North Norfolk Food and Drink Festival?

It’s an amazing festival that allows you to discover and celebrate Norfolk’s local produce and artisanal food and the great people who work tirelessly to bring such great food to us.  I’m definitely looking forward to trying out all the food!

What can we expect from you this year?

As Autumn draws closer with its abundance of apples, I will demonstrate a French apple tart using Norfolk apples and I’ll  show you the tricks to make the perfect apple tart!

Where can we find out more about you and what you do?

You can find out more about our workshops, tasting demonstrations and special events on our website at www.satiateartisan.co.uk.

Keep posted on what we’re up to on Instagram (@satiateartisanorfolk) and Facebook (Satiate Artisan).
