Who are you and what do you do?
I’m Danielle Wilson, founder of Mindful Mixology. We make ‘ready to drink’ cocktails using less sugar and premium ingredients. Cocktails made more ‘mindfully’. We primarily sell online, but they can also be spotted in farm shops and provisions stores around Norfolk and London.
What do you like about the North Norfolk Food and Drink Festival?
As a guest, it’s just a lovely day out. It’s the perfect mix of festival, food show and farmers’ market, with the best that Norfolk has to offer. As a stallholder last year I got to see another side of it, and I loved it! Everything was so well organised, the staff were all incredibly helpful, and there’s something quite magical about seeing Holkham in the early hours of the morning before the crowds arrive. It’s such a beautiful space – I always feel very honoured to be there.
What can we expect from you this year?
This year I have a couple of new flavours: the Passion Fruit Martini will be a crowd favourite I’m sure! Did you know the average Passion Fruit Martini contains 25g+ of sugar. It’s crazy! Ours is low in sugar, and we’ve used a Fairtrade passion fruit liqueur, and vanilla-infused vodka- meaning we’ve taken out the sugar syrup completely. We’ll also have lots of new alcohol-free cocktails, and of course we’ll be bringing back our advent calendar which was a hit at the show last year.

We update our social media channels regularly with new stockists, charity events and pop-ups that we do across Norfolk throughout the year. @mindfulmixology_uk. You can also sign up to our newsletter. I regularly send out recipes that you can try at home using seasonal ingredients and items from your pantry or garden. They are super easy and fun to make – and often have beneficial qualities to them, too.
